Latest Threats Adobe Flash vulnerability Urgency: Urgent (Small/Medium/Large/Urgent)
Description Inter Engineering warns about a critical vulnerability at Adobe Flash.
Summary A new critical vulnerability on Adobe Flash has been discovered. According to F-Secure (http://www.f-secure.com/vulnerabilities/SA200900917) and Shavlik vulnerability has been reported in Adobe Flash Player 10.0.12.36 and earlier which can allow attackers to take the complete control of the affected machine!!
An attacker can exploit this vulnerability when a specially crafted
SWF file is loaded in Flash Player by the user...This could be
happened while a user was visiting some Web pages that could exploit
this vulnerability by installing trojans or backdoors.
Suggested solutions
It is strongly recommended by Inter Engineering that simple users to
system administrators take actions to apply this patch on their
systems.
