NetASQ UTM system recovery via USB

NetASQ UTMs already have the ability to perform System partition backup to a backup partition. In case your boot partition is rendered un-bootable you can boot the backup partition and remediate the issue.

But even in the even rarer case that system is rendered completely un-bootable there is now the ability (provided that the issue is not caused by a hardware problem) to completely recover the system operation without having to return the firewall to Inter Engineering and Netasq for re-partitioning.

Netasq has released a set of tools to recover system operation via USB storage. Still it is highly recommended to keep regular backups of the configuration and have the latest ready.
